Reducing dance noise/vibration in duplex

I have a special soundproofing problem. I am a flamenco dancer, and I practice at home using my nail-studded flamenco shoes on a 4'x4' sheet of plywood. Now I live in the lower level of a garage apartment, with concrete floors and only one (very tolerant) overhead neighbor. I'm moving to a duplex with wood floors, and a neighbor sharing a common wall. Not only is the sound of my footwork loud, but I think the vibrations will go right through the floor into my neighbors apartment. How can I isolate my practice noise without ripping out my walls (it's not my house)? What about FloorMat or Vibration Pads? Does FloorMat have a firm surface that I could dance on? Any ideas are welcome.
