Hi there,

I live in a condo and the neighbor above me is a VERY LOUD walker.  Her floor above is the same as mine...hardwood, tile and berber carpet in the bedrooms with a poor underlay.

Other than walking loudly, her hobbies include vacuuming at 8am on a saturday morning, slamming her cupboards, waking up at 5 30 every morning during the week, and dragging everything she owns all over her beautiful hardwood floor.

Beneath the floor coverings you will find plywood, floor joists, insulation, sound bar (resilient channels I'm guessing) and then the drywall on my celing.

Considering that channels have already been installed, what would my next step be?  Could I just attached a sound barrier mat and then a layer of gypsum?  Maybe two?  Would this help?

Any advice you have would be appreciated.
