Log home with traffic noise

We have a,log home we recently purchased and are interested in reducing the raod noise which is approx 50 feet from the house.   If we did the window route, are log homes pretty good at blocking traffic sounds?

I live in a log home.
While it is not as quiet as a regular properly built and insulated house, the difference is marginal.

If you are going to put in windows, make sure they are triple glaze windows (3 panes) and that you can lock it with a lever. this cuts out 90% (IMO) of the sound vs the window open.
