Hot tub pump update!
You can control the noise by using the source, path, receiver model.
First at the source, lift the pump of the slab. Underneath the pump, Lay it on a vibration pad.
Next, address the path of the noise. Allowing breathing room, create a box enclosure without a lid. The heater or pump needs a vent. Make a moderate size vent. Allow just enough air flow. Face the vent away from your home. Inside the enclosure use Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV), absorbent mat and acoustical caulking. The open end of the enclosure will face the slab. Along the edges where the enclosure meets the slab, Glue strips of absorbent mat to prevent vibration.
Finally, Let us sound proof the receiver. If you do not have a wall, build one pronto. Preferably, make it as tall if not taller than your home. Begin to plant trees and shrubs to absorb the sound. If a particular room is loud, address sound proofing the room.
The suggestion we make are general and meant to be used by most "do it yourselfers."
Some work is best preformed by professionals such as brick and block work and raising the pump from the slab.
Hopefully, this will start the wheels turning.
