Floating floors for apartments
« on: November 10, 2004, 07:28:42 PM »
I am an apartment developer in Atlanta, Ga. My company is considering the installation of floating floors in every apartment of our current project.
I am researching for the best underlayment for sound control for this project.
Does anyone know whether cork is better than accousti-matt 3? Is polyetheline matt better than accousti-matt?
Gyp-crete will be used on the sub-floor. We are looking for the best sound barrier for our residents.
The final question is: Is it even worth it? Shall we just continue to lay carpet?
