I live in the country where there is very little noise.

I want to record vocals in a sound-proof environment.

I have determined that the best place is actually one of my closet.

There are 2 problems however:

1) heating system noise: easily solved by turning it off during the recording session

2) crackling noise originating from wood floors and heating ducts: very difficult. They are probably originating from temperature changes (?) They are very frequent (every 15 seconds), occur at any time, and make a loud transient crack that is very annoying.

What is the best solution for this?
