Dog Barking Noise

We have a dog that gets crated when we leave the apt.  He sometimes barks/howls, (whether he is crated or not), and it has been an issue with other tennants.  I wanted to know if there was a way that I could build an insulated structure that encases the crate on all sides but the front that would absorb all/most of the noise created?

Get yourself a dog barking collar, its a small electronic box that delivers a small shock when your dog barks. He'll definitly stop barking. You may view this as a cruel solution but after a month or two of the collar you wont even have to switch it on (we dont even have batteries in ours anymore) but when you put the collar on fido he knows to not bark. Or take him to obediance classes. Good luck.-Ryan
