Noise Control

If noise is disturbing your sleep, consider:

ear plugs: Ones for rock concerts work best
white noise, which comes from a noise-making machine such as a fan or generator
rugs
heavy curtains or drapes
double-pane windows
relaxing music or tapes

Ear-plugs are my best friend.always have been for about 3  years now

I'm currently looking into however  soundproofing ideas for my living room- principles, poss. materials etc. I've been thinking of  the idea of a floating floor. impact noise  it is

Anyway i'll post my problem/issue  in more depth sometime to get some possible answers .

i need to get reviews on materials  if and before i spend hard cash. No point if the solutions are not effective.

This is my first post. helllo all. nice to meet you!!

They don't work that well for me because they fall out and no earplug blocks the lower frequencies.  I have the Mack brand from an industrial distributor which blocks 34 db,  but I can still hear all low level sounds...i.e. trash pickup by a diesel truck for 20 minutes every morning or motorcycles driving by at night.  They also don't block out enough of lawn mowing noise.  I don' t know of any earplugs that block low frequency noise but I could be wrong.  I know a bouncer that wears hearos when he works, but it just reduces the noise so he doesn't go deaf - you can still hear everything.  In my case, I'm too much of a light sleeper for them to work.

Earmuffs (headsets) don't work for some people- that's why we give a moneyback guarnatee.

Addition sound blocking is obtained with our earmuffs with the addition of a closed cell foam plug that fits into the earmuff.  It's free with the headset.

A lot of ear plugs don't work  well is because they simply don't fit the ear. My solution in the past has been to chew up some tissue paper and stuff it into my ears. This works well for low and higherfrequencies.(perfect fit of a high density water-glue-fiber combination plug)
