Various types of noise coming in through windows
« on: August 02, 2005, 01:29:30 PM »

I have three windows that I would like to soundproof. The sizes are 72" x 50", 36" x 38", and 126" x 52". There are several different types of sound that I want to block out. I can hear everything from low sounds to banging sounds to extremely loud bass sounds.

I looked at the drapes available on the website and they are all too long for my needs. I emailed the company weeks ago, but haven't gotten any responses. They must not care about customer service or selling their products. >:(

If anyone has any good ideas of what I can do, please respond. Thanks

Your windows are very large and wi9ll be hard to block sound coming through them.

Drapes may be effective enough and if too long, can easily be pinned up to clear the floor.  Best to see the article on soundproofing windows before making a decision on what to do.
