Partition walls/Hay bales
« on: September 06, 2005, 03:01:45 PM »
Hey Y'all,
need some advice here on what to put in between plasterboard panels for a partition wall, to soundproof as best as possible for very little money. Saw on here a post from bob about Hay Bales.... stuffing the gap between walls with hay - would that work?? Any other suggestions? Paper?
Hope someone can help. Lots of other ideas, plans, but one at a time, eh?!

Be careful what you place in your walls- it may invite unwanted guests!

Yeah, know where you're coming from. Managed to get a load of rockwool now, as i found it on special offer - prices have rocketed here in the uk. Found a lot of info on straw being good, but decided not to risk it due to the damp element.
Thanks for the reply,
Nick

Bagging the bales may help that situation
