soundproof baby transport incubator

Looking for some thoughts/advice for trying to reduce noise inside an incubator used to transport babies between hospitals.  Mostly road use in purpose built but noisy ambulance.  Sometimes in helicopter/ fixed wing plane.  The baby is carried within a clear perspex 'box' mounted on a metal chassis which is locked into place on the floor.  Access is required at all times and some degree of visibility.

I've thought about using some sort of flexible sound reducing foam/fabric  to make a removable cover.  Is this likely to reduce the sound crossing the perspex? What material is most likely to be useful?  Am I going to be significantly impeded by the fact there is direct transmission of sound from the floor through the metal chassis to the inside of the box?

Many thanks for your thoughts
