Sound proofing paint??

Is this stuff legit? I've heard a couple of things about it, but does anyone actually have experience that they could recommend a brand or something?

Hello jackandbernice,

Exide corp plant in Ohio used a lot of this material to soundproof noisy ductwork recently.  It worked so well that they ordered more for office areas.  Here is application info with data http://www.soundproofing.org/images/noxudolprocedure.pdf

We recommend to apply 2.5 - 3.0 mm (3/16") dry film thickness and one gallon will cover approximately 18-20 sq.ft.  This will give a 5-7dB drop.
