Hello,
me and a friend are makeing a recording studio in his basement, and we need to keep the noise level down so the neibhoor and people upstairs dont hear so im looking for some soundproofing ideas. the basement room has 2 cement walls and 2 dry wall walls. can you use the pink foam insluation the comes in the big sheets and the lay carpet over that to cut down on the sound, and how well will this work?

Sorry, that won't work well at all.  For loud sound- you need a lot of soundproofing!  See
