Copper Pipe sound noise
« on: March 26, 2001, 05:03:02 AM »
I need to reduce the running water noise in 1/2" and 3/4" copper plumbing pipes.  This is not a knocking problem, it is noise when the water is flowing, especially when the commode is filling.
The pipes are in the ceiling and wall, but I can get to them since we are remodeling now.  I also need to fill the space in the ceiling with some type of insulation.  What type is best?
Will the standard pipe insulation sold by hardware stores, Home Depot, etc, do the job? or is there a better product?
What does your liquiq product do?
