New customer, soundproofing a vocal booth!
« on: December 30, 2005, 03:26:52 AM »
I just bought a roll of MLV from you a week or so ago, and before I install it I want to make sure I am on the right track.
I am using it for the sake of my downstairs neighbor who works third shift. His bedroom is right below a vocal booth I am putting in in my apartment.
As far as sound transmission goes, can I just do the floor of my booth? I am worried the ambient noise coming through the walls of the booth will permeate the flooring outside of it and be too loud for my neighbor. Is having my walls up good enough if I install the MLV on the floor? Or would I need to completely enclose the booth with it?
I will not be playing instruments, this is just for vocals. Thank You!
