Are there mats to reduce floor vibration?
« on: January 10, 2006, 06:52:16 AM »
Hi, I have a 270 lb Century BOB freestanding punching bag. Everytime I use it I shake my neighbour's apt under me. Is there material or mats that if I placed under the bag would absorb the shock and thus prevent the apt under me from shaking? The same with subwoofers. Any good material for prevent bass from shaking his ceiling, my floor? Thanks.

I think you need to accept the fact that, no, you don't live out in the middle of the desert alone in your own house, and, yes, you need to moderate (or even discontinue) your behavior so your downstairs neighbor doesn't regard you as a self-absorbed sociopath.  There is no product that will magically eliminate all your noise.  You have to end it.  Maybe you should learn how to read a book in peace and quiet.....
