Air Pump Enclosure

How would you construct an enclosure for an air pump that is used for venting purposes?

It's got 4 inch intake and outlet hosing. Would the ~Generator Box~ solution work here even though there are holes for the venting hoses?

It should work just fine- the problem might be the hoses radiating noise...They may need to be soundproofed with something like "pipe lag" or some other heavy material.

hello Jay B,

Besides using the pipe lag (web reinforcedMLV with foil face one side) on the hoses, you would seal around the wall penetrations with acoustic caulk.  Then the "Generator Box" would be very effective here.
