Anybody with any ideas on quieting a player grand piano? I've had the installer adjust the setup to the lowest possible range, turned the volume all the way down, fit four inch foam underneath the piano below the sound board, and closed the lid. Still too loud.
I'm thinking about a layer of mass loaded vinyl or other acoustic barrier
above the strings, on the metal frame. But one "expert" told me that wouldn't work. So, I'm kind of at an impasse, and would appreciate any ideas, suggestions, especially if they're based on actual experience.
Thanks.
