Author Topic: Making My Single A Listening Space  (Read 1235 times)

I will likely be getting a single next year on my campus, and want to make my room someplace where I can listen to music loudly without disturbing others as well as maybe improving the acoustics of a room. I also may play guitar in the room a bit, and have a big amp and don't really want to spend 200 bucks on an attenuator. I know this is completely a soundPROOFing question, but, what do people suggest in terms of walls/ceiling for making my room quieter for those around me?

As far as I can tell, the respondents on these forums are dicks. Two college kids have asked questions, and while yes, the drumset one was stupid, both responses evidenced 35 year-old pudgies with Cool Ranch for manners. Go home.

Well, it gets old.  People write these ridiculous comments, like: "I want to play my music at 120 dB, and I want to completely soundproof my space, but I don't want to spend any money.  What do you suggest?"

They need to get real....
