Author Topic: Soundproof loft (baby's nursery) with acoustic curtains  (Read 1326 times)

We have a new baby and decided to make his room in the only space left in our townhome - the upstairs loft.  The room looks over our first floor living room on one side (about 13 ft.), is open to a stairway on another side (about 9 ft.), and has two walls on the remaining sides.  Of course, you can hear every noise in the house from the loft and my new son is a light sleeper.  I am looking at the acoustic curtains (the used curtains/drapes on this site) and was wondering how much sound control to expect if we hang the curtains (perhaps a double curtain) to enclose the loft room on the exposed sides.  What lengths would I need to purchase to cover the two walls?
