KIDS and wooden floors

Hi everyone  :) New here... I have just moved into a Dorma Bungalow (UK) and have three "lovely" children that live next door, they are a very nice family but the Kids run around on the floors and it resin ates through my house :( I am thinking of sound proofing the walls but I feel that this would make no difference. I'm no expert but I'm sure the sound comes through the floor boards? Its a brick separating wall and wooden floor joists?. At the present time we have no carpets in the house because were having the electrics done, can you advise on a possible solution to this  very LOW frequency and annoying  bumping?

Well, the problem is impact noise.  The best solution would be to have carpet and pad under the 'lovely' childrens active feet.
