Safety glasses for use with earmuffs
« on: April 23, 2007, 03:56:55 PM »

I want to alert forum members to a new type of eye protection that was designed specifically for use with earmuffs.

Regular safety glasses break earmuff seals, causing pressure points against the skull and reducing protection by 3-7 decibels.  SoundVision Eye Protection by FullPro provides full and comfortable protection by attaching to earmuffs with flexible Velcro-like straps.

More information is available at:

Some feedback we've heard from users:

Improves performance by 3-7 decibels over what??  What is the NRR rating?  Have you done any independent, third-party acoustical testing of your product or is it all just marketing??

My best pair of earmuffs score an NRR of 33.  If a wear earplugs + earmuffs, I can get nearly 40.  If your product can't come close to those numbers, they don't impress me.  And they have little to no utility over (relatively) inexpensive, readily available hearing protection products already on the market.
