I want to soundproof a couple walls in my rented apartment and maybe a few doors too, so I can play my music at high volumes. I've been looking around the internet for a while and I've seen foam, thick blackout drapes, and other hanging material. Only problem is, it all stands out way too much and flat out looks terrible. Any solutions?

Forget it.  No 'temporary' solution you're thinking of will do anything to block the bass.  You're out of luck.

Solution: Headphones.
