Hi,

I have a rental that I like, the only thing is they really skimped (no surprise) on the walls inside the units.  Its a 3 story townhouse.  The second story is where most of the sound is generated from in my unit.  TV, stereo, etc. I cant even play it at a normal volume late at night, my neighbors can hear it.  Even when I barely can.  I just wan t to keep from disturbing my neighbors while listening to music at a descent volume.

Thanks,
Eric

People's definition of "normal volume" or "decent volume" can vary widely, especially if you're on the receiving end of the unwanted noise.  And this I-Pod generation is more hard-of-hearing than any before.  Pity them when they're 50.....

Headphones are always an inexpensive, simple solution to disturbing others who don't want to hear your noise.  Spend a bit extra money and get the wireless ones.  It'll still be a lot less expensive than the permanent, money-down-the-drain structural modifications you'd have to do to stop the complaints from next door.
