I live in my parents basment .....they hate my drums.

is there an affordable way for me to construct an independant sound proof room to play in that I will be able to take with me when I move?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.....i'm new to soundproofing methods so all info even basic stuff will help me out.

Thanks

For a good understanding of what you need to know, here is a good place to start:
http://www.acoustics101.com/
Figures 3.1a and 3.1B in Chapter 3 give you a couple of design iseas you will incorporate into your drum "booth".
We provide this link on our web site for the information contained.  While I do not totally agree with all the methods and ratings presented, it does give the novice an excellent introduction to the subject.  When you get ready to price out the materials you'll need give me a call - we can save you lots of $.
