Glue for MAGNETSEAL L Bracket
« on: January 17, 2008, 06:39:22 PM »

Has anyone glued the MAGNETSEAL L bracket to window sills?  What type of construction adhesive did you use?  Did it hold through the temperature changes in summer and winter?

Thanks for the help,

Peter

A lot of glues will work.  Regular construction adhesive will work, but epoxy or polyurethane glue (Gorilla glue) would flex better.  Even RTV would work pretty well.  The trick is holding it in place until the adhesive sets up.  Sometimes that can be tricky.

If you intend this to be a permanent installation, you could even use super glue to get started.  Just be careful and don't glue your fingers to the window.

You can use a double sided adhesive tape.  Also "goop" can be used.  3M makes a lot of adhesives that will work.  the Super 90 spray is fastest/strongest.
