Soundproofing Vinyl Sunroom
« on: April 29, 2008, 03:27:29 PM »
We have a vinyl sunroom (aluminum studs covered in vinyl- but the walls are pretty much just glass).  the problem is the roof, it is deafening when it rains.  it's almost completley flat, i'm not sure what is on the outside, but inside the ceiling is vinyl and it is insulated with some kind of dense foam.  you can't talk on the phone in here and the noise is SO distracting.  i have my office set up in here and I work from home, everytime it rains I have to move the production into the dining room and run back and forth from there to here to use the computer.  When it's really raining hard the noise travels into the kitchen/living room area making it hard to hear the tv or hold a conversation.  Is there something i can lay on the roof on the outside or install on the roof on the inside to make it more liveable??  PLEASE HELP!!!

Coverage is roughly 10 sqft. per gallon
