Help - Sliding doors
« on: August 11, 2008, 03:22:50 PM »

Hi, we live in a townhouse near to the intersection and traffic lights. The window and the sliding doors in our master bedroom is facing the busy streets. The room requires daylight.

We would like to install interior windows to the window and sliding doors for soundproofing. However, we need help on the best way to install interior windows on the sliding doors for max soundproofing. Any other tips/options to further reduce the noise?

Pls advise. Thanks.

For your windows you can use our Magnaseal system with 3/8" acrylic.
For your slider this is going to be more challenging, we have had customers use this same system for sliders the downside being they had to build additional framing around the slider divided in the middle and use 2 acrylic panels in order to get a 2" dead airspace and a quality seal. It doesnt look the best but it worked.
