tempory sound proofing for windows
« on: March 11, 2009, 03:52:38 PM »

I am living in rented accomodation, its a great place (large open plan downstairs area) and i wouldnt mind having a little gathering, except that there are 3 large single glazzed windows that face the street (approx 1.5m x 2.5m) on the ground floor.

Could i cover these with some sort of cloths or blankets to provide some amount of sound proofing to my neighbours opposite?

Anything is better than nothing, anytime you cause sound to work you will achieve a reduction. The question is how much of a reduction. If you get 10% noise dampening from the curtain your doing good!.
