drum set in unfinished area of basement
« on: November 18, 2009, 04:06:09 PM »
My son is getting a drumset and we are planning on putting it in the corner of the unfinished portion of finished the basement.  There are no windows in the area.  We don't expect to completely soundproof the area, but we just want his practice time to be tolerable to the rest of the household.  What would be the best flooring to put the drum set on, and would just flooring be adequate?  The floor is concrete covered in a moisture sealant.

The flooring alone will not be adequate...in order for me to be able to help you, I will need far more information.
You can try portable panels if your on a tight budget, here is the link.
