im at my wits end guys, too many options out there to come to a decision ill be content with an not think that i couldve or shouldve got thia or that.. youre site is by far the most informative ive come across, so im thinking ive found a home sorta speak..
heres my dilemma..
i own a 34 foot Motoryacht and use it for extended cruises, most of the time under power at varying rpms between 1200-4500, below 1000 rpm, my dual engines are heard, but we can live with it, but any speed over that, and they become unbearable pretty quick.. what would you guys recommend so i can quite them up? the more the merrier, space isnt a problem, weight is somewhat, considering i dont want to boat to be stern heavy, but i know, i cant have the best of both worlds, just to give you an example, with all the doors closed that have access to the engine room, including the lower stateroom tat had the suspect bulkhead, standing in the living room, we have to almost yell to talk to eachother, quite uncomfortable, with the doors open, we HAVE to yell.. no way around it, and ironically, its ALOT quiter outside the boat
so? any suggestions as to what would quite them up the best? and would you have a real world comparisons for me? the sheetrock example was a good one, anything similiar for what you might recommend?
my intentions are to cover the bulkhead seperating the engine room and lower stateroom first, and given the outcome and percentage of differance, start on the rest of the boat, cost is not an issue, as long as i do it once and happy with the results
