To start my business, the shire needs me to do something to the windows. Strangely, they are being very cool about it saying that I just need to put a mattress against the windows and they will be happy (since I already use sound off pads on the drums themselves). Unfortunately I realise that this won't stop noise getting out the window - all it will do is make the shire happy. I'd rather try building a false wall infront of the window.
So my idea is to basically do this:

so, since i am inexperienced, i have a little bit of money, what opinions or advice can you give?
Also, more importantly, how do I go about actually doing this. what do I need to buy, and how do I put it together and install it?
I'd do any work myself that I can, to save money... but first do you think this idea is valuable... will it make much of a difference?
its not quite a room within a room... but surely blocking off that window will help a lot since it is currently the major problem with the room. Next the roof...
