Impact windows or soundproof windows for noise reduction
« on: February 17, 2010, 04:35:34 PM »

I need a product(s) for soundproofing my master bedroom.  I have 3 windows and a french door.  The noise source is a barking dog located about 10ft from my bedroom.  This is a bedroom located on the second floor of the house.   What type of window will be best for noise reduction - impact or soundproof windows?  Any input will be appreciated.

Buy a window with a high STC rating 41-45, Milgard has the quiet line.
Also you will need to replace the french doors with solid core doors.
