78"x70" windows, commuter rail noise, Magnetseal?
« on: April 08, 2010, 11:22:07 PM »

Hi

I'm moving to an apartment building next to a commuter rail, the train goes by every 15-20 minutes from 6 am to 1 am. The windows in the apartment are 78"x70". I was wondering if Magnetseal is a good option to seal out the noise coming from the train rails? I know the windows are bigger than usual would the Magnetseal work effectively in this case?

Please note that I don't own the apartment and I would like to minimize the cost as much as possible.

Thank you.

That or a plug will be the only options you have that will deliver a reduction. I would use 3/8" thick plexi-glass.....you will need to locate it at a local plastics supplier then order the installation kit.
You will need 26lf. of the magnaseal kit. 2@6' and 2 @7' is how it will come. You will fine cut to fit.
