I do the tech support for a small private school in Fresno California, and recently I acquired an office-mate who uses one side of the room and I use the other. This was fine with me, but unfortunately some of my servers and networking equipment make a lot of noise and my new office-mate is about to go nuts. We also need to install some additional hardware which will make even more noise, so the plan is to put a wall between us to stop the noise.
What would it take to ensure she doesn't hear the hum from all the fans running in my switches and servers? It really isn't that loud, but I want to make sure she doesn't hear it AT ALL. In addition to this, there will need to be a door in the wall as well, as the only doors to the room are on her side of the office.
My estimate is that the room is currently about 12x25. My room will be about 12x15, and hers 12x10. The networking equipment will be on the opposite side of my room from her wall.
Thanks!
