soundproofing sliding glass doors

I recently had installed a double pane sliding glass door (replacing the existing single pane model)  facing an especially noisy street.  Sound dissipation has improved only marginally.  Do you have a suggestion as to how I might decrease the sound reaching the interior?  Would a "plug" work?  The door leads to a bedroom that requires quiet.  Thanks!

If you still have your old door, you could make a frame and re-install it over your new door, thusly increasing the total sound reduction.  A plug may make more sense.  Check the link below.
