Soundproofing a 600 ft2 room full of compressors and pumps
« on: November 04, 2010, 08:04:11 PM »
I need to mitigate sound, primarily from propagating to adjacent spaces, from a room full of 5-10 hp compressors, vacuum pumps, and fluid pumps.   Mostly all rotating equipment, but a lot of it.

So Far I was thinking the following:

Drop ceiling with sound absorbing 2'x4' panels
Wall insulation
Hanging baffles

I know this isn't a lot go go on, but right now the room is empty, and I won't know the extent of the sound issue until the equipment is installed.

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!      >>>

Ok for a project like this, it is best to contact me directly.

There are a few things that need to be addressed based on either absorption within the room and or sound transmission leaving the room with hard connections of the pumps and compressors.
