High School Choir room
« on: February 09, 2011, 10:02:04 PM »
I am 17 years old, have no experience in sound proofing and have been assigned the task of sound proofing our room. It's hard to describe, but if you can imagine, our choir room is the back stage area of a high school stage, just blocked off with a thin wall.
I have done some research, but you must understand this is being done with no outside funding. The main thing that needs insulation is the ceiling and the wall that sealed our room, as of now I can not give you dimensions because the project was just handed to me. But, if you have any material ideas or further questions that you think will help you help me, I will be glad to help and appreciate your answers.
I have heard that possibly Green Glue, and all natural Cotton Fiber insulation, may work. I do not know the consistency of the fiber, and whether or not I can simply adhere to the wall and ceiling without problems. I have also heard that a cheap solution is fruit delivery foam.
Please, any advice is welcome.
