ASC Soundfence?
« on: May 26, 2011, 02:17:35 AM »
I've been looking into a few options for sound control fence for the last few years.  My backyard is pretty small I live on the end of a panhandle lot with 12'-14' high hedges surrounding the property except the neighbor who lives right next door. In which a current 6ft high fence seperates the properties.

The neighbor behind has constantly shouting kids and the guy likes to tinker with his car/truck a lot.  The neighbor next to me has two chickens.. sigh no i don't live in the country.

I work at home and these are constant irritations.  I haven't been able to enjoy my backyard and would like to do something with it.

I started looking around for solutions and came across this:  http://www.acousticsciences.com/soundfence/sound-fence-neighborhood.htm  ASC soundfence?

Has anyone had any experience with this product?

Should I just go with a MLV and a cedar fence?  I'm not sure what direction to go in.

You can build the fence using reinforced MLV.. however this does not dictate the entire reduction value when dealing with outside noise.

What dictates true sound reduction for outdoor assemblies is Density, diffracted path, shadow zone and the diffraction angle.

It would be easiest to explain this over the phone, So give me a call and we can discuss.
