I know this is a bit of an odd question, but I'm going to be moving into an apartment soon, and need to start pre-planning one of my major projects for 2012: A DIY CnC machine. Pictures are here:

I thought that I could put a hinged outer case over the case already there, with sound-insulating panels to drop over the windows once the machine is running properly.
Honestly, my biggest confusion is in materials! Is this a job for a matting, padding, foam, 'deadspace'...? I know that footers underneath will probably be required one way or another, but what about the other spaces?
It will have a 2 hp laminate trimmer working inside, as well as 3 other motors. I need to get this down to 'not getting evicted' levels of noise, as my business can't go on hold for 8 months while we rent an apartment prior to home ownership.
Anything helps! And thank you ahead of time.
