Has anyone used this product for airborne noise and odor transmission?

We wouldn't recommend expansion foam for any style of sound control it is not worth the effort as far as sound reduction goes.
For odor control, that I wouldn't know. I guess if you could get a perfect airtight seal with the closed cell kit it might do something for odor....

Linda at Foam It Green here.
We have helped so many customers achieve great sound blocking results using Foam It Green!  Foam It Green works to stop sound (and odor transmission) by stopping air flow, which is what those sound waves travel on.

Here are just a few examples of the great results our customers are getting:

"And our attic is so quiet - it cuts down on street noise a great deal, making this livable space, not just storage space!"

"My husband even commented on how we cannot hear anything outside, on how much quieter it is out there."

"OMG ! Your spray foam exceeded my expectations. We bought it for the exceptional insulation properties - but WOW - what a difference it made in the noise levels. We live on a busy street and in the morning you can hear all the delivery trucks rumbling down the road - well that is you could hear them before we used the spray foam - now - peace and quiet all morning long."

"Remodeled a bathroom in a mobile home manufactured in 1969. First thing I noticed was that almost all the noise from the road disappeared. The difference was that drastic."

We'd be happy to talk with you about ways to meet your specific needs.  Give us a call at <Removed by request>

Hi Randy,

Foam It Green is used in so many different applications that it would not behoove us to do the STC testing on any one type of assembly.

What I can tell you is that the president of the company grew up in a house with foam in all the walls of the house, and they had to install an intercom system to be able to hear that dinner was ready.

In addition, our testimonials page has quite a few examples of how the foam helped our customers with sound deadening. It worked great for everything from home theater systems to therapist's offices.

Here is a link:  Removed by request.  See Below.

You can check out all the different types of projects our customers are working on!

I just looked at the product details and I wouldn't recommend this product for a soundproofing application.  It's a closed-cell polyurethane foam, too rigid for good cavity absorbsion.  It would 'recouple' a decoupled wall assembly.

Fantastic product for thermal insulation, though.  Great R-value per inch...
