Has anyone used this product for airborne noise and odor transmission?

We wouldn't recommend expansion foam for any style of sound control it is not worth the effort as far as sound reduction goes.
For odor control, that I wouldn't know. I guess if you could get a perfect airtight seal with the closed cell kit it might do something for odor....

please provide STC ratings and the assembly it was tested on

Hi Randy,

Foam It Green is used in so many different applications that it would not behoove us to do the STC testing on any one type of assembly.

What I can tell you is that the president of the company grew up in a house with foam in all the walls of the house, and they had to install an intercom system to be able to hear that dinner was ready.

In addition, our testimonials page has quite a few examples of how the foam helped our customers with sound deadening. It worked great for everything from home theater systems to therapist's offices.

I just looked at the product details and I wouldn't recommend this product for a soundproofing application.  It's a closed-cell polyurethane foam, too rigid for good cavity absorbsion.  It would 'recouple' a decoupled wall assembly. 

Fantastic product for thermal insulation, though.  Great R-value per inch...
