Room in Room for bed only?
« on: May 13, 2013, 07:23:23 PM »
Hi there,

I tried several searches but could only find an identical question with no answer. Is it possible to build a construction around one's bed just like the room in room concept?

I have the feeling that the room in room concepts is only used to prevent noise coming out of the room not getting into it. Can this be reversed?

I am asking this because during the day I am fine with the noise I just want to make sure that I get a good sleep. So I have the idea of building something small just around my bed. Is this a possibility or do I have to soundproof the whole room, windows, doors, ceiling, walls etc.

Thank you for your help and please forgive my English.

Peter

Yes it is possible, they are known as sleep boxes. used mainly overseas but you can build something similar.
