YouTube recording
« on: August 29, 2013, 09:18:50 PM »
I have my computer any my play station downstairs and moving them upstairs is not a option. The computer and playstation are right by the living room and the kitchen two of the loudest places in my house.  When I record my YouTube videos I have to tell everyone to be quiet and I can't be very loud either. I need a sound proof barrier to put on two arch ways so I can be practically as loud as I want and so can my family. These are Arch ways and I don't want to buy something where it is expensive or permeate like a door.

What type of sound proof product item or material should I get?

There is one picture

I attached a link for the picture it brings you to google drive.

Well, Im sorry to tell you but if you do not do a solid core door with a lot of mass you are not going to be able to get " as loud as you want" ...soundproof curtains only give you about 10%-20% reduction value.
an ironically mass loaded vinyl blankets cost more than a solid core door...

You get what I mean, I won't be like really lout like a parts because it would just be me in the room but I'm talking about when I'm playing a horror game or a rage game. I just want to have something that isnt super expensive and hard to un-install

you can do a strip curtain entry, here is the link to the product. We normally do this for server labs and such..you will get a reduction but remember that maximum reduction comes from an air tight seal....
