Hello;

I' am using foam ear plugs (29 db) + an ear muff (27 db) and I still can't sleep. Need something portable.
I wonder if anyone knows a motorcycle helmet with a SNR over 35 db?

Thank you,
sue

Try a white-noise machine in addition to earplugs.

Hi,
Doesn't work because I need to reduce the amount of noise.
I was thinking of building a sound proof booth. Is not portable, but  might  work, until I move into  a new house.
I have acquired free card panels, and I was wondering if by using  closed cell expansive foam in spray, with the card panels, and add mineral wool,   some foam panels and duck tape, maybe I can help reduce the sound level.
I have 5 mineral wool panels (5 cm high) 135cmx60 cm, 4 foam panels (50cmx60cm) (2,5 cm high).
Do you know how much foam spray will I need? The booth will have 1,80 meters long and less than a meter high.
Then I will buy a 33 NRR foam plugs plus a 32 NRR ear muffs.
Thank you,

A white noise machine placed close to your head will produce over 65 dB of noise and pleasantly drown out tons of the transient noise keeping you awake....
