Simple way to soundproof a room?
« on: August 31, 2014, 02:10:17 PM »
Hi.

I need to isolate a noisy room, but when I google the noise isolation so I find just a lot of drastic solutions like building stuff into the walls etc.
What simple proofing methods are there? I already know about those acoustic maths.

Thanks for answering.

at the very least you need to double the entire weight of the wall and that would give you about a 5db drop (40% reduction) not including impact noise or low frequency.

Mass Law.

That is about as easy as it could get.
