magna seal or install interior window
« on: July 07, 2015, 06:51:43 PM »

Hey gang,

Just found this site and its awesome. I been reading and trying to decide whether to go with 3/8" acrylic magna seal or should I opt for cheap dual pane Home Depot windows and mount them inside so I can open the windows. outside windows are some type of dual pane and there will be about 3-4" of air gap.

Would the STC be equivalent for both? This is to reduce airplane noise being under the flight path.

Thanks!

If you can afford it do the home depot windows.. mass is mass
The acrylic works fine but you will have better results with laminate glass.

Make sure you seal the gap from casement to frame completely !!!
