Vibration meter frequency characteristics ??

I am seeking to measure air vibration  ... I have used an Android app on my Samsung Galaxy S4 sch-i545 and have seen a significant reading when a vibration occurs.  I've repeatedly observed this, so have a sense that it works.  Recently the characteristics of the vibration changed, and though I still feel it, the app no longer detects it.   

It is a very low frequency sound, I assume <<< 100 hz, and when I say I feel it, I mean I sense the pressure change in my head.   The type of sensation I feel now is slightly different, and not noticed by the app.  So, I assume something like the frequency was changed.  I doubt it is the power or amplitude - due to the fact that I still feel it almost as much.

I'm just wondering what the frequency range of an app like Smart Tools Vibrometer on a Samsung Galaxy S4 is.   I wrote the developer and he was unable to answer my question.

I have seen vibrometers sold on ebay for about $100 - many claiming to have a frequency range down to 10 hz.  I'm thinking of buying one or two - but if my phone app goes down to that ... or anything close to it, then it may not make sense for me to do that.

One benefit to the dedicated Vibrometer tool is some have an RS232 output.  I'd like to be able to control various electronic devices/processes, via my PC, upon detecting a vibration.  With the phone app that seems unlikely to be easily done.

I use this app as well sometimes when all I need is a quick basic reading with out having to be precise, however I am not an expert on how well the app works with the your phones Accelerometers based on that low of frequency.
I seriously doubt any cell phone app could get accurate readings at the low end of the spectrum.
