I am sick and tired of being woken up in the middle of the night or early morning (Sat and Sun) due to bass booming cars in the parking lot and next door neighbors, heavy walkers (upstairs and downstairs), floors vibrating from neighbors having sex or kids jumping on the bed, and automatic door closers that ping and thud. I.E. every apartment complex
The plan is to build and place acoustic foam boxes on the walls, (2) 2x4 foot panels per wall with bass corner blockers (another post said not effective if not from the source)
Buy a shed from hardware store, using green glue, then Vinyl, Green glue, MDF, Green Glue, Vinyl, Green Glue, MDF, Green glue acoustic dry wall, Green glue, acoustic dry wall for all walls, floor and ceiling. Acoustic foam boxes (1) 2x4 on each interior shed wall, bass corner blockers for each corner.
Will this fix the noise or is it over kill?
But then I thought, wait it has to be able to be taken down if I move out of state and reassembled, so it has to be modular, then what about the seams?
Any thoughts on how to do it or do you sell or know of any place that sells this pre-fabricated? Needs to be a little bigger than a single bed size and about 6ft tall.
