Vinyl Siding

I have a family room in my house where the outside walls are all covered with vinyl siding.  Would it be relatively simple to temporarily have the siding removed to then install a layer of mass loaded vinyl below it and then reattach the siding?  If so, any special considerations to maximize the effectiveness of soundproofing? Would using green-glue on the mass loaded vinyl be helpful in such an application?

Not sure if this adds anything applicable but the walls have cellulose blown in insulation which were blown in from the outside and seemed like the contractor had no issue temporarily removing some of the siding in paces for drilling the holds for blowing in the insulation.

Just as side notes: The floors of room are concrete over vented crawlspace foundation with dirt floor on ground. Inside, there is carpet and i do lay some mass loaded vinyl below part of the carpet (still need to do the rest).  There is cellulose insulation above the ceiling. One of the windows is covered with mass loaded vinyl cover while other ones have heavy curtains.

Anyway, there can be noticeable traffic noise at times that seem mostly from the walls. Thankfully its not continuous traffic noise but is annoying and can get loud which especially isn't good when trying to record music or just relax watching movie or tv.

Ok,  first you must insulate all empty cavities..I am not a fan of blown in insulation but I will take that over an empty cavity.

Second, In order to justify the work and cost you must at least double the weight of the entire wall. This will deliver around a 40% reduction of sound coming through the walls.

I would suggest 2# mass loaded vinyl in combination with other layer that will make the weight of the wall 8lbs - 10lbs per sqft minimum .

hardie backer /  3/4" exterior grade plywood ..stucco ....

Feel free to call me direct to discuss further.
